Janet contacted me approximately eighteen months prior to her wedding, and, from our initial consultation, demonstrated a keen appreciation for elegance and style in all her concepts. Our process commenced with a comprehensive search for venues; initially, a castle appeared to be an appropriate selection, aligning with her envisioned wedding style. However, following personal visits to several castles, she revised her preference, ultimately selecting an elegant, subtly modern venue situated in the heart of Taormina, Sicily.
The wedding design was developed around a core theme of timelessness, incorporating sage green hues, pristine white luxury roses, and gold accents in the stationery and table arrangements. I secured the services of a leading florist and stationery team to realize our collective vision. We created bespoke, handmade menus, featuring gold ink imprints achieved through the traditional cliché technique on handmade ivory craft paper, complemented by sage green guest tags. All text was meticulously calligraphed by Verygraphy Calligraphy, who also provided calligraphic services for the welcome message displayed on an antique mirror at the venue’s entrance.
I selected sage-colored tablecloths, which provided an ideal color balance to the overall aesthetic without overloading it with the floral elements. This strategic decision also facilitated adherence to the budgetary constraints, enabling the reallocation of resources among various suppliers to ensure an unforgettable experience characterized by elegance and Sicilian authenticity.
The inclusion of a Sicilian folk band, which entertained guests during the buffet aperitif, and a vintage car rental introduced distinctive regional elements, unequivocally affirming the wedding’s Sicilian setting.
